Sunday Sunshine: The New Normal

Practicing contentment by remembering the graces of the week and practicing gratitude through giving.

Since I last posted, there are so many things that I am thankful for.  So many people who have made my recovery and adjustments in the last five weeks easier.  So many hands that have helped out and voices that have reminded me to take it easy.  Fantastic doctor and nurses who made sure that Little Man arrived safely and we were both well taken care of for our hospital stay.

I'm so grateful that HandyMan was granted two weeks of paternity leave for Little Man's arrival.  We also had a wonderful week of spiritual and physical rejuvenation and recuperation at family camp with great friends.  The week of watching all the kids play together in a safe, fun environment was fantastic.

I have enjoyed [finally] having a little bit more energy and feeling closer to normal.  Alone cooking time on Friday resulted in a bunch of breakfasts in the freezer and a couple dinners.

Life is good.  We are blessed.

Every desirable and beneficial gift comes out of heaven. The gifts are rivers of light cascading down from the Father of Light.” (James 1:16 -The Message) May the light of the Father brighten your week!

Back Online!

Where has this summer gone?!  Around here, I haven't done much cooking, weeds have overrun the garden and clutter has taken over the house.  HandyMan and other family and friends get credit for almost everything that's gotten done around here in the last 8 weeks.  What have I been doing?  I've been adjusting to a new life in our household.

On June 24th this Little Man entered our lives (along with doctor's orders to me to take it easy for at least 6 weeks!)

and turned everything all around as I entered the "Mom-of-Two" club.

and we adjust to our newest family member.

Blogging has taken a back seat as I work my way back to the place of being a ThrivingMama.
